I don’t know how much you all get targeted ads, but I have been slammed with targeted ads for “Ashes of Her Love,” a new poetry book by Pierre Alex Jeanty.
OH MY GOD DOES THIS SPEAK TO ME, no wonder I was being targeted with its ads.
Let me share my favorite poem in the book (so far at least), because I couldn’t relate any more to written word than I do with these three paragraphs of beautiful prose.
To my codependents and empaths and victims of narcissistic abuse or any abuse – I KNOW YOU WILL relate to this. These words transported me back to days I’ve left behind and reminded me how grateful I am to not be there any more.
I’d love to discuss with you.
She did not just fall out of love, she was constantly pushed over the edge, weak from the tireless attempts to save the very thing you kept killing.
She did not fall out of love, her heart was deprived of everything good she brought to the table until her malnourished soul learned that it’s better to lose a love story than to end the story of her love.
She did not fall out of love, she kept tripping over the knives your tongue set on the path, and bled too much to find strength to get up.
She did not fall out of love, she fell in love with wanting better.
