Y’all know I love a good birth story.
I’ve written a few times about how reading birth stories and listening to birth story podcasts was a huge part of my preparation for birth each time around. I found that reading or listening to birth stories helped me to understand physiological birth and prepared me for knowing about the many variations of normal during birth so that I wouldn’t trigger the flight or fight fear response and interrupt the oxytocin rush during.
I also love sharing my birth stories with friends and recently, with strangers!
Over the last few months I was able to record my birth stories with two of my favorite birth podcasters, Katelyn Fusco of The Happy Homebirth Podcast and Adriana Lozado of The Birthful Podcast.
Ironically, despite recording them months apart, they both aired within a week of each other and I wanted to share them with all of you here in case you were interested in hearing them; I’ve shared on social media and tagged to a post on here, but didn’t make a specific note. Both of these ladies have given so much to the birthing community and I was so grateful to be able to share my stories with them. I hope you’ll enjoy!
